Community Awards

Community Fellows Award

The Western Sydney University Community Fellows Award recognizes Western Students for outstanding contributions to or within the community. These contributions indicate a visible impact on social, economic, cultural, environmental and/or technological development in the Western Sydney region.

This Award is presented by Western Sydney University Chancellor Professor Jennifer Westacott AO at the graduation ceremonials throughout each year where the Community Fellow will be gowned on the day.
 

Eligibility

  • The Western Sydney University Community Fellow is awarded to individuals external to the University who meet the selection criteria.
  • Self-nominations will not be accepted.
  • Current Staff of Western Sydney University are NOT  eligible for nomination. The Community Fellow Award is an honorary award that which cannot be conferred upon a current university staff member.

Young Achiever Awards

The 7NEWS Young Achiever Awards acknowledges, encourages and promotes the positive achievements of young people in NSW & the ACT, up to and including 29 years of age. Western is proud to partner with the awards, sponsoring the Academic Excellence award.

The Academic Achievement Award

The Western Sydney University Academic Achievement Award acknowledges young people displaying passion, drive, a willingness to learn and work hard to help them create opportunities and achieve excellent outcomes in their chosen field. At Western we have celebrated excellence since 1989 and for this reason are committed to recognising outstanding students throughout NSW and the ACT.
