Katie Acheson
Katie Acheson is Doctor of Creative Arts candidate researching how young people can gain genuine influence over the governance of AI and digital platforms. Working alongside young people as co-designers, her practice-led research develops and tests governance participation tools, the infrastructure that lets young people shape how the technologies affecting their lives are designed, overseen and held to account. Katie is a Churchill Fellow and comes to research from 25 years of practice: leading youth organisations at state and national level, advising governments on youth policy, and serving as lead consultant of the United Nations World Youth Report (2025).
