Biography

Dr. Gupta commenced is a Senior Lecturer in the physiotherapy program at WSU and teaches in musculsokeletal physiotherapy. His area of research includes human movement science, muscle-tendon unit function, gait, age related change, pregnancy related pain, resilience to pain and professional practice.

He has expertise in the area of research study design, 3D motion capture, electromyography, forceplates, dynamometers and real-time ultrasound. He currently supervises HDR students and honours research students as well as being a collaborative resercher in projects involving staff at other universities and hospitals.

He is a Sports Physiotherapist, Research Physiotherapist (APA), Member of the Australian College of Physiotherapy (MACP) and works as a Senior Emergency Department Physiotherapist on weekends. He has roles with the Australian Physiotherapy Council (APC) and presenter of postgraduate courses for the APA.
