I am a Level B Lecturer within the Master of Creative Music Therapy (MCMT) course at Western Sydney University (WSU) where I am employed in on ongoing 0.5 position. My responsibilities include unit coordination of two units per semester and consultant to the MCMT placement coordinator. I am currently a PhD candidate at Western Sydney University, within the School of Humanities and Communication Arts, and the recipient of a postgraduate research scholarship 2019.  I have extensive professional research experience and a demonstrated record of contributions to successful funding/grant applications. In addition, I am the recipient of a WSU Early Career Researcher grant 2019.  

I am an experienced Registered Music Therapist (RMT) with over 23 years of registration and am considered a senior member of the music therapy profession. In addition, I am a Fellow of the Neurologic Music Therapy Academy. I have significantly contributed service to my profession as National Secretary/Treasurer of the Australian Music Therapy Association (1996-1999) and as the Secretary for the NSW branch of the AMTA (1994-1996).  In addition, I am regularly invited onto Scientific review committees by the AMTA and am currently a member of the AMTA Ethics Committee.

Within my varied management and coordination roles, I have been responsible for  the evaluation of national programs within a collaborative context, including design, management, analysis and reporting. Training, supervision and support of staff, including new RMT graduates has also been a focus across my various positions.
