Biography
Growing up and completing early education in rural NSW, Nathan embraced the rural lifestyle and chose to study Secondary Teaching and Human Movement at Charles Sturt University Bathurst. On completion of his undergraduate studies, Nathan accepted a project manager role with the NSW Department of Education - District Schools Office working specifically in Aboriginal education. Nathan also worked with Denison College Bathurst High Campus, teaching a variety of HSC courses and delivering vocational education programs. During his time with Western Sydney University - School of Medicine as the Rural Schools Community Engagement Officer, Nathan has continued to develop strong networks with rural communities, education providers, government and non government stakeholders, health service providers and students and families. With strong support from the Western Sydney University - School of Medicine: Rural Program, Nathan is successfully laying the foundations for the future success of rural students, which will lead to an increase in the rural health workforce.
