Biography

Associate Lecturer Samantha Woo is an alumni of the University of Sydney, having completed her undergraduate double-degree and doctoral studies there. She has extensive experience in teaching inclusive education in primary and secondary initial teacher education programs at the University of Sydney and at Western Sydney University. Her doctoral thesis focused on Investigating Attachment Relationships: Infants with Hearing Loss and Complex Needs. During this research, she worked and collaborated with allied health professionals and special educators at an early childhood intervention centre, to provide therapy and education to young children with hearing loss and additional disabilities and their parents. Dr Woo has also been a guest lecturer for pre-service early childhood educators, sharing her knowledge, experience and research on inclusive education and early childhood intervention. She is an early-career researcher looking to pursue her research interests in inclusive education, attachment theory and early childhood education.
