Biography

Dr. Jiang joined Western Sydney University in 2021 and is currently an ARC DECRA Fellow in the Centre for Infrastructure Engineering. He obtained his Bachelor's degree from Southeast University in 2011 and his Ph. D. degree from City University of Hong Kong in 2017.  He did his postdoctoral research at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Before joining WSU, he held the position of JSPS International Fellow at The University of Tokyo in Japan.

Dr. Jiang has a research background in the areas of construction materials, FRP composite structures and structural fire engineering. He has in excess of 60 publications (including one book, and 42 SCI-indexed journal papers ) with an h-index of 23. A complete list of his journal papers can be found on Google Scholar. Dr. Jiang has received numerous awards and prizes for his contributions to the research and application of composite structures, including DECRA Fellowship and JSPS Fellowship. He has been successful in attracting competitive research grants both in Australia and other countries.
