Assoc. Prof.  Prem Samaranayake is primarily focusing on process, data and network modelling of supply chain industry scenarios for improving overall supply chain performance, supplier selection and evaluation, and performance evaluation and monitoring.  In his previous research work, he has done work in the broader areas of enterprise resource planning (ERP) and business process management (BPM), in particular enhancing current ERP solutions for planning and scheduling of large assembly/maintenance projects and evaluation of healthcare process improvements in public hospitals.  This work has been done in collaboration with colleagues from UWS; Thammasat University, Bangkok, Thailand; The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong; University of Greenwich, UK; and the University of Wollongong.  He will continue to work in the broader area of supply chain management and will extend the research into specific areas of customer segmentation in supply chain practices, and supply chain service output measurement and evaluation in selected industries.
