Biography

Anupama is an Associate Professor in Health Informatics in the School of Computer, Data and Mathematical Sciences at Western Sydney University. Anupama has completed her undergraduate studies in Applied Mathematics and postgraduate studies in IT. Prior to joining academia,Anupama had worked in the software development industry. She was awarded her PhD in 2008 for a project where she extended theuse of KlneeAlgebra with Tests for tracking the propagating impact of business processchanges in fully and partially automated information systems.

Anupama's research focuses on applied computing in medical, healthcare and wellbeing domains. Her current projects include developing online tools to assessthe cognitive impairment of older adults, clinical classification mapping and episodes of care coding using AI/ML, and using sensor and image data in the clinical care space.
