Placement Incidents and Accidents
What if there is an accident or incident on placement?
If you are injured whilst on placement you should firstly seek treatment and medical attention at your location. You are covered by the Western's student insurances if you are undertaking a placement or WIL experience that is a requirement of your program or subject.
Report an incident or hazard as soon as possible at Western.
Also, always report any kind of placement or WIL incident to all or one of the following:
- Your placement supervisor
- University placement contact
- School contact, or
- Your School’s Placement team.
