Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:
Citizenship:
- an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or eligible New Zealand Citizen**

Enrolment:
- new or continuing student
Program/s:
- Any undergraduate or postgraduate degree
Additional:
- be an athlete competing at a state or national (school, age and/or open) championship level, recognised as elite or in possession of development potentail and participate in the University Nationals.
Sports Scholarship
Western Sydney University Connect offers sports scholarships to students either entering or continuing an undergraduate or postgraduate course. The University is a member of the Australian Sports Commission's Elite Athlete Friendly University (EAFU) Network. This Elite Athlete support program is aimed at providing support to athletes to balance their sporting and academic commitments whilst at the University.
Scholarship recipients will also receive financial assistance and have access to modern fitness facilities, academic counselling, personal development seminars, academic support and liaison, networking links and other opportunities.
Application and Selection Process
Applicants must provide a statement supporting their application indicating how they believe receiving the scholarship will assist them with their studies and future careers. This statement should give a sufficient explanation of the applicant's background and current circumstances to enable the University to judge their eligibility, need and merit.Successful applicants will be selected based on their written application, academic potential, ability to meet the criteria, and, where appropriate, performance in an interview before a selection panel.
