Master of Chinese Medicine

The Master of Chinese Medicine is a postgraduate qualification designed for Chinese medicine practitioners wishing to strengthen their knowledge and better integrate into the health care system, and for graduates with a Chinese Medicine specialisation seeking a pathway to research. It can be completed in one-and-a-half years of full-time study or the equivalent in part-time study.

The course includes two major streams: a clinical stream and research-training pathway.

  • The clinical stream features a substantial clinical placement in a teaching hospital in China affiliated with Beijing University of Chinese Medicine (BUCM) in addition to clinical specialisation workshops.
  • The research stream includes a significant research project which is supported by NICM HRI.

Masters of Research Program

The School of Science and Health Masters of Research program is available to meritorious students. This Masters program has been developed as a pathway to PhD study, providing an innovative research training framework to equip you with analytical, research and communication skills, making you highly competitive for future careers.

The Masters program is offered on a two year full-time basis with the option of a four year part-time basis for domestic students. Lab-based, clinical or advising policy projects are available. View the list of projects on offer within NICM HRI.

Higher Degree Research and Doctoral Research Program

Higher degree research training is available through the the Masters, Honours or PhD programs on a full-time or part-time basis. Projects may be lab-based or clinical/translational. View the list of projects on offer within NICM HRI.
