Western researchers named on 2025 Highly Cited List

Western Sydney University researchers have been named on the 2025 Clarivate list of Highly Cited Researchers. The prestigious list recognises researchers who demonstrate significant global impact and influence in their fields of research.

Five researchers and one affiliate Western researcher were named on the 2025 list, identified as having authored multiple Highly Cited Papers which rank in the top 1% by citations for their field and publication year in the Web of Science Core Collection over the past eleven years.

Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation), Professor Ian Anderson congratulated those named on the list for this significant achievement.

“The Clarivate Highly Cited List is a benchmark of sustained, high-quality global impact and quantifies the impressive work of Western Sydney University researchers who are at the forefront of excellence and innovation in addressing some of the world’s most challenging problems. I congratulate all named on the list for their well-deserved recognition,” said Professor Anderson.
