The Bachelor of Social Work is a four-year full-time or eight-year part-time program.

This course strongly emphasises practical skills and makes you job-ready, by requiring you to complete 1,000 hours of supervised field placements. This experience will set you up for a great social work career in private or government agencies, health, welfare support organisations, or community groups.

With a Bachelor of Social Work, there are so many ways to influence the world you'll live in. Some career opportunities consist of being a case worker, counsellor, researcher or school social worker. The opportunities are extensive. You could work in community development, early intervention and child protection programs, family support services, refugees and asylum seeker programs, juvenile justice/corrections, employment services, housing, policy development or education and training.

The HSC True Reward early offer program gives school leavers much needed peace of mind, providing an early offer into most courses at Western Sydney University based on Year 11 or Year 12 subject results.

Applications are now open to receive an early offer to begin in 2023.
