Nursing and Midwifery Lab Tours

Western Sydney University provides students with clinical practice facilities, called Clinical Practice Units. These are located at the Hawkesbury, Parramatta, Campbelltown Campus and Liverpool Campus.

Course Frequently Asked Questions

The Bachelor of Midwifery is a three-year full-time program. 

The course is offered at the Parramatta South campus. 

This degree has accreditation, recognition and approval from the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Council (ANMAC).

Applicants wishing to gain entry in the Bachelor of Midwifery will need to apply through UAC. Please note: this course only has approximately 50 places available and is very competitive. Entry into this program is based on both academic merit and performance at an interview with the School of Nursing and Midwifery. 

The course opens doors to a wide range of different career opportunities, including registration as a midwife in a hospital setting or private practice (independent midwifery) as well as insight into research opportunities in this fast-evolving area of health practice. 

The Bachelor of Nursing is a three year full-time program. 

The course is offered at the Campbelltown, Hawkesbury, Parramatta South and Liverpool campuses, as well as Online. 

This degree has accreditation and approval from the Nurses and Midwifery Board Australia. Graduates will be eligible to apply for registration as a registered nurse in Australia.

The HSC True Reward early offer program gives school leavers much needed peace of mind, providing an early offer into most courses at Western Sydney University based on Year 11 or Year 12 subject results.

Applications are now open to receive an early offer to begin in 2023.
