Home to our new Bachelor of Engineering Advanced (Honours) WSU-UNSW Collaborative program, developed and delivered in partnership with UNSW Sydney. The Engineering Innovation Hub also offers courses in Architecture, Industrial Design and Entrepreneurship.

Course Frequently Asked Questions

We have various majors accross our Engineering degrees including Mechanics, Robotics & Mechatronics, Electrical, Civil & Construction. In our new collaborative program with UNSW, you can also now elect to study Software Engineering as a major.

The course has a common first year structure and has been designed to meet Engineers Australia professional accreditation requirements – Competency Stage 1 Professional Engineers and Australian Quality Frameworks (AQF) Level 8.

You will have access to our state-of-the-art facilities - including our brand new Engineering Innovation Hub! We've also got a huge range of woodworking and metal workshops, laser cutting, CNC routers and fabrication equipment. There's also clubs and student run projects such as the Solar Car Project and Western's Unlimited Robotics Club, to help you harness and apply your engineering skills.

Graduates can look forward to career opportunities in robotics design, manufacturing, utilities, water, roads and buildings, commercial medical and industrial product design, product and project management, consultancy, and industrial or residential development.

The Academy

Unique to Western Sydney University and established in 2015, The Academy offers high potential students opportunities to gain the intellectual and practical skills needed in today’s ever-changing world.

The Academy provides extension-level academic development, community-engaged service learning opportunities, international and national experiences, and a range of professional and personal development workshops.

HSC True Reward Early Offer Program

The HSC True Reward early offer program gives school leavers much needed peace of mind, providing an early offer into most courses at Western Sydney University based on Year 11 or Year 12 subject results.

Applications are now open to receive an early offer to begin in 2023.
