Kerry Staples, Director of Academic Program - Early Childhood Education, School of Education at Western Sydney University said:

“Tara is a very worthy recipient of this scholarship. It is a joy to hear Tara talk about the importance of learning in the early years, and the way her university experience is influencing her understanding of children and teaching. As a future teacher specialising in early childhood education, Tara understands she can make a real difference in the lives of children, families and communities as a future teacher.”

“Scholarships like this enable pre-service teachers like Tara to focus on their studies    and their professional experiences in the sector.  It reduces stress for young students and helps them gain the skills and knowledge they will need to be great early childhood teachers.”
