Formula SAE-Australasia

"Made to learn, built to win"

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT WESTERN SYDNEY FORMULA SAE

WHO ARE WE?

Formula SAE-Australasia is a competition where university students design, build and compete in their very own Formula-style open wheeled racing car. The competition provides an environment for students to develop problem-solving and outcome-focused management skills in a resource-limited organisation, skills that the industry is seeking in the next-generation STEM workforce.

Our student-led team develop workplace knowledge like that of an engineering firm alongside skills in leadership, mentoring, STEM promotion and community engagement. It is our mission to support the evolution of student’s classroom theory into real world practices through practical based learning, preparing them for the modern workforce.
