Ten year trend (2013 TO 2023)
From 2013 to 2023, overall waste generation decreased by 40%, materials sent to landfill decreased by 91% and separation and diversion (recycling) of materials away from landfill increased by 27%. The notable dip in the trendline demonstrated a significant reduction in waste generated due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic campus closures.
