Mr Murray Bolden

Murray Bolden is the Technical Officer working within the CIE's Structural Testing Laboratory, and is responsible for day to day operations in the laboratory.

Murray has a varied career background including work in the Hospitality, Finance, Retail and Construction Industries.

Murray joined WSU in March 2002 and has been employed in the Structures Lab since that time.

Main duties include:

• Implementation of the day-to-day operation of the Structural Testing Laboratory for research work and other projects

• Supervision of students working on research projects with the structures lab.

• Implementation of major project work on structural engineering research projects, including:

• • Fabrication of test specimens
  • Set-up of testing rigs
  • Testing of specimens
  • Data recording

• Administration of the Structural Testing Laboratory.

• Maintenance of the test equipment and associated infrastructure of the Laboratory.

• Ensuring students, staff and visitors comply with OH&S guidelines

• OH&S committee member.
