Workshop proposals
The CCGrid 2026 workshops serve as platforms for discussions on specific subjects, new research areas, or interdisciplinary fields. Organisers have the flexibility to design these workshops in various ways, including invited lectures, panel discussions, presentations of ongoing work, peer-reviewed short or full papers, or a mix of these elements.
Workshops will be scheduled in parallel sessions on the opening day of the conference (18 May). While it's suggested that workshops last for half a day, they can be extended to a full day based on interest, available space, and the organisers' preferences.
The acceptance rate for workshops should be aligned closely with that of CCGrid2026 (between 20% and 25%).
Eligibility
To qualify for publication, all accepted papers must be peer reviewed by at least two reviewers.
Submission guidelines
- Workshops should ideally correspond to one or more topics of interest at the CCGrid2026 conference.
- Workshop proposals must be in PDF format.
- Workshop proposals must be emailed to the Workshop Chairs for assessment. The review panel provides their decisions, which may include recommendations for enhancement before the specified deadline.
- Name and acronyms of the workshop.
- A half-page to 1-page abstract explaining how the proposed workshop aligns with or complements the topics of CCGrid.
- A brief description of why and to whom the workshop would be of interest.
- List of workshop organisers, including their affiliations, emails, and short biographies (up to ten lines for each organiser).
- List of potential program committee members and their prior experience in organising workshops or conferences.
- List of topics of interest.
- Description of the expected structure of the workshop, such as papers, invited talks and panel discussions.
- The desired workshop length - half or full day.
- A brief history of the previous occurrences of the workshop (with links to their websites, if available) highlighting the estimated number of attendees as well as the number of submitted and accepted papers.
- A publicity plan to attract submissions and attendees, highlighting the expected number of anticipated submissions, accepted papers, and attendees. It's recommended that organisers design workshops for groups of 20 to 40 people to maximise their effectiveness and encourage meaningful discussions.
- List of possible related special issues in indexed journals.
- Preliminary call for papers with targeted deadlines.
Accepted workshops
- Accepted workshop papers will be included in the CCGrid2026 workshop proceedings, which will be available online at the IEEE Xplore Digital Library.
- For each accepted workshop paper, at least one author must register for the CCGrid conference at standard registration rates and present the paper.
