The Wellbeing Health and Youth Matters Project survey invites young people 12-24 years to share their views, experience and interest in young people's involvement in health research, policy and services.

We would like to congratulate Dr Benjamin Hankel, our VC Fellow, on being awarded a Discovery Early Career Researcher Award (DECRA)! Ben's project will be examining Youth Digital Wellbeing in Australia and the Philippines.

Y&R Member Dr Anna Denejkina is investigating the role of online engagement and mentoring through Zoom to support Student Veteran’s transition from military life into student life, by creating a peer and external support network in their first year at university.

Alex Barwick from ABC Alice Springs interviews Prof Amanda Third, Young & Resilient Research Centre Co-director, regarding sharing video recordings of violent content on social media, after a fight at the local bus interchange between students was uploaded to a Facebook community group. The recordings have since been removed by Facebook for breeching their community standards.

The Australian government is proposing changes to existing privacy laws in Australia that will affect the control young people have over their data and privacy on online platforms and, therefore, potentially how they engage with technology and the internet.
