School of Humanities and Communication Arts Postgraduate Conference 2018

It is a time of considerable change in the higher education sector – for the humanities in particular. The increasing emphasis on adaptability, marketability and employability can alert us to new ideas and resources, or make us feel even more alone and unprepared than before, often at the same time.

The 10th anniversary edition of the Interventions and Intersections conference offers itself as a space in which our diverse postgraduate community from the School of Humanities and Communication Arts and the Writing and Society Research Centre can meet to engage and reflect upon research in all its complexities. We want to encourage communication within and between disciplines; to discuss work strategies and career aspirations; and to value our research, and our research community.
