Heat Smart Healthcare Education for Caring Professionals

Project Summary

The research aims to understand the impact of heat stress on community clients and the role of health professionals in

educating clients on managing heat risk during extreme events.

A co-designed mixed methods approach will be undertaken

to generate new knowledge and build evidence-based educational resources to equip health professionals to support and educate clients to manage their heat-related risk.

All phases of the project will involve stakeholder engagement and be co designed to inform the development of a health professional educational package for trial and evaluation.
