The International Centre for Neuromorphic Systems (ICNS) focuses on developing biology-inspired technology to solve real-world problems. ICNS has excelled in establishing strategic research partnerships, both nationally and internationally, to deliver impactful solutions to big problems. The ICNS team, led by Professor Andre van Schaik, is conducting innovative research into improving safety in space, ushering in the next generation of computing architecture, and working toward securing future agriculture needs. This past year, ICNS has entered into strategic research partnerships, worth over $7m, with the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF), US Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR), and Defence Innovation Hub.
