Dr Freya MacMillan, Senior Lecturer, Interprofessional Health Sciences, School of Science and Health

Dr MacMillan is a Senior Lecturer in Interprofessional Health Science. Her research focuses on the development, evaluation and translation of diabetes prevention and health promotion interventions. She uses mixed research methods and co-development approaches to create innovative interventions. Dr MacMillan has attracted over $7.3 million in grant funding and has published 40 peer reviewed journal articles, 4 invited book chapers, and over 40  conference abstracts presented at 9 international conferences. She has sustained an outstanding research track record since joining Western in 2013 (PhD conferral in 2014), alongside her other academic duties and becoming a mother in 2018.
