Natalie Edmiston

Senior Lecturer, Rural Research (Clinical and Educational)

Biography

Natalie is a doctor and an academic based at University Centre for Rural Health, Lismore, Northern NSW, Australia. Natalie is a Fellow of the Australian Chapter of Sexual Health Medicine and has many years experience as a clinician researcher in Sexual Health. As Senior Lecturer, Rural Research for Western Sydney University, Natalie is involved in research education and health education research, while maintaining clinical research particularly in areas related to sexual assault. Natalie currently also works for NSW Health, Education Centre Against Violence, with a role in postgraduate education for both doctors and nurses.
Natalie’ areas of research include HIV and sexual health medicine, medical education and workforce research.

Natalie is the Rural Research Lead (Lismore) for Western Sydney University MD Projects, and is committed to ensuring student research is of a high quality and meets the needs of regional communities.
