Biography

Dr Liyaning (Maggie) Tang got her bachelor degree at Tsinghua University, Beijing, China and the Ph.D degree at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, China. After post-doctoral research experience at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, she worked at West Virginia University for three years. She had rich experience in collaboration with government departments in both China and the U.S. Research projects included Public Private Partnership projects, highway pavement construction, dust control on construction sites, environment impact assessment of construction projects, carbon footprint in construction.

She is now a Lecture of Construction Management at Western Sydney University. She teaches construction courses and supervises both undergraduate and graduate students. She is a full registered Principal Supervisor (Doctorate) in Graduate Supervisor Register at WSU. She is also a World Bank Group / APMG certified PPP Professional (CP3P) Foundation trainer. Her current research focuses on “Improving Mental Health of Construction Site Workers and Construction Site Safety by Using Big Data Analytics”.
