Biography
Dr Angelo Sabag is a research scientist and an Accredited Exercise Physiologist with 8 years of clinical experience. His research explores the role of novel exercise therapies such as high-intensity interval training for the management of conditions such as type 2 diabetes and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.
Dr Sabag has published 20 peer-reviewed journal articles in high-impact journals. Dr Sabag completed his PhD studies at the world-famous Charles Perkins Centre at the University of Sydney PhD where he explored the effect of low-volume high-intensity interval training on various cardiometabolic health outcomes in adults with type 2 diabetes. His findings were published in Diabetes Care, the highest ranked diabetes-specific journal in the world. He has also published multiple systematic reviews which aimed to determine the effect of exercise on cardiorespiratory fitness, cardiovascular health, body composition, and liver fat.
