Biography

I commenced at Western Sydney University in February 2017. I was awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in the School of Medicine and Public Health University of Newcastle 10 June 2015. My PhD research was about women leaving or ending domestic violence and social support during that process. I have experience and qualifications including nursing, midwifery, child and family, law and health management. I have been in academia for 12 years and this includes University of Newcastle, Charles Darwin University and Griffith University. My teaching experience has included Unit and Course Coordination in diverse topics in nursing and midwifery in addition to law. I am currently the Unit Coordinator for 401037 Legal and Ethical Issues in Midwifery and 400958 Field Study - looking at comparisons with health care in other countries.
