This information session was for WSU researchers looking to submit/re-submit an application for the NHMRC Investigator Grant scheme at the Emerging Leadership levels.
Presenters discussed assessment and gave advice based on personal experience of the 2020 Investigator Grant round. WSU Research Services covered timelines and processes, as well as other additional advice for applicants.

InCites, SciVal, Altmetric Explorer (as well as Scopus and Web of Science which contain some author metrics) are available via the Databases by title list, on the eResources page (opens in a new window) on the Library website. You will need to create a login for each platform with your WSU email address. WSU Library eResources (opens in a new window)
- InCites/SciVal is useful for mapping publications with international collaborators
- Scopus and Web of Science also contain analysis about which countries authors who have cited your work are from, along with which subject areas you are being cited in
- Google Scholar is best for those types of research outputs that are not as comprehensively captured by the major scholarly databases (eg reports, books, book chapters etc.)
