English For Taxi Drivers Preparation Course 

To become a taxi driver in NSW, the government requires you to pass the NSW AMES English assessment to meet the national minimum standard, so The College has developed a short course to help prepare you for the assessment.


Duration: The test is run across three consecutive Saturday mornings, and you are required to attend all three.

Where: The College, Level 4, 8 Australia Avenue, Sydney Olympic Park NSW 2127

Cost: $240

Please note if you have previously attempted the English assessment by NSW AMES, please send a copy of your results via mail, email or bring a copy to The College in person.

IMPORTANT: Early registration is recommended. Registrations close on the Wednesday prior to the course commencement date. Places in the course are limited. If your desired course is full, you will be contacted and offered a place in the next available session.

The Course

Taught by experienced English language teachers, the course provides you with an understanding of what will be in the test with a series of practise tests, and focuses on improving four major language components:

  • Speaking
  • Listening
  • Reading
  • Writing
