The Associate Degree in Engineering is an accredited* four-year, part-time program which gives students the opportunity to develop the skills and knowledge needed to succeed and make a real difference. Designed for people who currently work in engineering or related areas and wish to upgrade their qualifications, the course is primarily delivered online, meaning students can study while they work.

With a common first year program covering all engineering disciplines, students gain a wide range of experiences. In the second year of the program, students are able to choose from a variety of engineering disciplines, including civil, electrical, mechanical, or robotics and mechatronics.

ASSOCIATE DEGREE IN ENGINEERING

Entry requirements:

To be eligible for entry into the Associate Degree in Engineering, you must meet both entry requirement 1 and entry requirement 2 outlined below.

Entry requirement 1: Applicants may be regarded as eligible for admission if they have completed the NSW HSC and attained the required ATAR (Australian Tertiary Admission Rank), or have completed other equivalent qualifications such as a recognised Certificate III or Certificate IV and vocational experience and attained the required entrance standard set for entry to the course. This may include bridging/ preparatory courses, para-professional and other post secondary qualifications.

Entry requirement 2: Admission to the Associate Degree in Engineering also requires an applicant to have relevant industry experience (3 years) or be a member in a suitable traineeship program.

Study mode:

The Associate Degree in Engineering will be delivered through online lectures and tutorials taught by staff from The College, The University, and relevant, experienced staff from the industry. There is a compulsory, one week intensive session which will be delivered at the Nirimba campus in Quakers Hill.
