Research Program: Multisensory Communication
Biography
Professor Jeesun Kim's research interest is in the information processing that occurs in face-to-face communication. Her research involves measuring/analysing properties of auditory speech and facial movements (visual speech) of talkers in various communication conditions and testing how such conditions impact on speech production and perception.
Starting with an ARC IREX fellowship (2000), Jeesun has been awarded various national and international fellowships. In 2001 she was awarded a prestigious National Academy of Education Postdoctoral Fellowship, in 2002 an ARC APD fellowship, and in 2006 an ARC QEII fellowship.
