Thesis Title
Person-Centred Assistive Technology for People with Dementia
Research Project
Hello! I’m Mina Aghaei, a dual-award PhD candidate with The MARCS Institute at Western Sydney University and the University of Hertfordshire, UK. My work focuses on bridging the gap between people living with dementia and the technology developers creating assistive solutions, ensuring these innovations truly meet users’ needs. With a strong foundation in biology, neuroscience, and cognitive science, I’ve led impactful research projects and workshops that connect science to real-world applications. My career has been driven by curiosity, collaboration, and a commitment to making a difference. Outside the lab, I find inspiration in painting, getting lost in books, or wandering on long walks—because creativity fuels both my science and my soul.
