🎓New Student? You Must Complete the AIM

The Academic Integrity Module (AIM) is a non-award, mandatory subject that must be completed by all new students.

If you are a new student, you are automatically registered into NOAW0004 Academic Integrity Module, which will be listed in your Subject Sites in vUWS. If you are registered into NOAW0004 Academic Integrity Module, you must complete the module and quiz as soon as possible. If you do not do the module and quiz, you will not be able to see your results.

The online module and quiz should only take you around an hour to complete. You must receive 100% in the quiz, and you must complete the module as soon as possible.

Completion of the AIM subject requires you complete the AIM module and score a mark of 100% on the quiz at the end of the module. There are no classes for this subject.

The Academic Integrity Module was developed with WSU Student Partners to ensure that it is engaging and relevant for the Western student community. The AIM will make sure you are equipped with all the essential knowledge you need on academic integrity at Western, with information on topics such as preparing for assignments, support at Western, generative AI, and how to take the values of integrity into your future career.

I am a new student registered into NOAW0004: Academic Integrity Module

If you are a new student registered into NOAW0004: Academic Integrity Module (AIM), you must complete the AIM as soon as possible. If you do not complete your AIM, you will not be able to access your results.

1. In the site, follow the instructions to complete the ACADEMIC INTEGRITY MODULE.

2. Go to the Folder COMPLETING THE QUIZ, and take the ACADEMIC INTEGRITY QUIZ.

3. Once you have completed the ACADEMIC INTEGRITY QUIZ to 100%, you can download a certificate of completion from the COMPLETING THE QUIZ folder.

4. If you are a new student and you are enrolled in the Academic Integrity Module subject, NOAW0004, then you must complete this module before the end of your first term of study.

I am not registered into the AIM, but my School or Subject requires I complete it

If you have been directed to complete the AIM but are not registered for the AIM subject, please contact the Library for help.

I have an AIM HOLD against my results OR I can't access DegreeWorks
  • Have you completed the Academic Integrity Module Quiz to 100% in your vUWS?
    • Yes, and I still can’t see results and it has been 48 hours or more – contact the Library
    • No – you need to complete the Academic Integrity Module Quiz to 100% in your vUWS and wait 48 hours for the hold to be lifted. If you are not registered for the AIM subject, please contact the Library for help.

Staff can access the ACADEMIC INTEGRITY MODULE (STAFF PREVIEW) site by clicking on this link to self-register into the Staff Preview site. Please make sure you are logged into vUWS before clicking the link. If you are unable to access, please try using another browser to self-enrol. If the self-enrol does not work, please contact Academic Integrity Inquiries with your Staff-ID.
