| Particular Focus in Chaplaincy | As a Chaplain, I am interested to support students’ wellness and spiritual development, by offering guidance and tools for students to better understand themselves, their relationships and what they can offer to our community. I have run mentoring programs in the past for student organisations and in the professional setting. I am aware of the stresses on students and I am interested to encourage students to develop their spiritual and personal qualities in their work and studies. I am interested in community building, and creating friendships and harmony so as to foster a healthier and kinder society for us all to live in. I welcome anyone, of any faith, to connect with me and attend the events that Metta Centre will organise at the University. |
| Other info you would like to share | I am a lawyer and mediator by profession. I run my own law firm and mediation service. I am also the founder and president of the Metta Centre, which provides free wellbeing services to the community. I have been very active in the Buddhist community, including student groups. |
| Favorite … | My favourite pastime is gardening. Now that I know how to compost, I can say I create earth on the weekends! |
| Wisdom saying | Even as a mother protects with her life her child, her only child, so with a boundless heart should one cherish all living beings. Radiating kindness over the entire world: Spreading upwards to the skies, and downwards to the depths; outwards and unbounded, Freed from hatred and ill-will…One should sustain this recollection. This is said to be the sublime abiding. – The Buddha in the Metta Sutta |
