Support for Student Veterans

Western Sydney University is proud to support current and previously serving Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel.

We’re dedicated to supporting Veterans, who have served, or are still serving in a reserve or full-time capacity to pursue study while balancing service commitments or post-discharge requirements.

ADF personnel at Western are invited to join the Western Student Veteran Club and be part of a like-minded community. They may also be eligible to join the Student Veteran Program (SVP) to gain access to a range of benefits in support of their tertiary education such as access to a dedicated Veteran Support Officer, special consideration, priority timetabling, tailored career support sessions, subsidised health clinic services, free psychology therapy services, welfare, counselling, disability services and more.

"Having spent four years in the Air Force as a trade technician I undertook my own bridging study, and I was able to enrol at Western. The range of student support services to assist me with the transition to full-time study has been invaluable."
