Biography

Dr Pejman Sharafi is a lecturer at the school of computer, engineering and mathematics (SCEM) of Western Sydney University (WSU). He obtained his PhD from the University of Wollongong in 2013, and joined WSU as a post-doctoral research fellow in 2014. In 2016 He was promoted to a lecturer position at the centre for infrastructure engineering of WSU. His areas of expertise are modular design, discrete analysis and optimisation. He has been involved in several independent and collaborative research projects, as well as some research-consulting projects with industries in the area of building construction, and the has been the chief investigator of over $700k projects in this area at WSU. As an early career researcher, he has over 50 publications in the area of building design and optimisation.
