Biography

Professor Yi-Chen Lan is the Pro Vice-Chancellor, Global Development at Western Sydney University. Yi-Chen holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree and a PhD degree from the University of Western Sydney. Professor Lan is responsible for the institution partnerships engagement and relationship specifically on the East and South-East Asian region and strategically lead the university's major institutional partnership programs. Yi-Chen also serves as the University’s main connection to the local Chinese and Taiwanese business community with direct responsibility for fundraising and development in conjunction with the Office of Advancement and Alumni.

In his academic career, Professor Lan’s teaches busines projects, global e-business marketing, and project management courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. Prior to his currentacademic work, Professor Lan worked in the industry for five years, wherehe held senior management roles in the areas of information systems and quality assurance for multinational organisations.
