Biography

 

Professor Burton is the author of over 100 refereed publications. Her research is focused on consumer choice, and in particular how marketing strategies influence smoking and the success of quit attempts, and the implications for health policy. Her research has been recognised by funding from the Australian Research Council and by nine awards from conferences and journals. She has also been given the ANZMAC Distinguished Marketing Educator of the Year award, and was a joint author of what was at the time  Australia’s leading Marketing textbook (Kotler, Burton, Deans, Brown and Armstrong).
