Biography

Dr Robert Salama is currently the Academic Program Advisor for the Academy’s flagship and interdisciplinary degree, the Bachelor of Creative Leadership. He has over 14 years of teaching experience as a lecturer at Western Sydney University in a diverse range of subjects including Leadership, Creativity and Innovation, Critical and Systems Thinking, Argumentation and Persuasive Techniques. In addition to creative leadership, Robert has a strong engineering background teaching over nine electrical engineering, mathematics, and physics subjects, industry experience as a Satellite Communication Engineer, business owner and operator, and further experience in the building industry.

Robert has a passion for electromagnetics with a research focus on antenna design for implantation inside the human body for various biomedical applications and embedding inside concrete structures for infrastructure health monitoring applications. He supervises a number of higher degree research students working on various antenna design challenges at Western Sydney University.

Robert has strong experience in curriculum review and development and is currently exploring research areas in pedagogy and innovative curriculum development for stimulating and effective learning experiences.
