Doctor Poonam Mudgil

Biography

Dr Poonam Mudgil has a PhD in Molecular Microbiology. She obtained further research experience at the Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology (Delhi, India), University of New South Wales (Sydney, Australia) and Western Sydney University. She worked as a Research Fellow in the Australian Research Council (ARC)-Linkage scheme collaborating with industry internationally. She had Lecturer positions at the University of Delhi (India) and Western Sydney University. Currently, she conducts biomedical research, teaches medicine students in the MD program and supervises higher degree research projects at the School of Medicine.

In 2021, she attained the status of Fellow of Higher Education Academy with Advance Higher Education (UK).

In 2022, she attained the status of Gold Fellow of Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (USA).
