Biography

Dr Nicki Taylor has an undergraduate degree in Health and Physical Education, and has taught in primary, secondary and tertiary contexts over the past 13 years. Nicki is interested in studies of Health and Physical Education as they intersect with environmental, cultural and embodied learning contexts. Nicki’s research interests also include connecting people’s experiences in natural environments to health outcomes in school and community settings. She is currently investigating the impacts of ‘blue’ and ‘green’ spaces on health and wellbeing. In 2017, Nicki completed her PhD investigating the place - and absence - of ‘the environment’ as a health education issue in Australian schooling.
