Doctor Mingkai Jiang

Visiting Fellow - Hawkesbury Institute for the Environment,
Hawkesbury Institute for the Environment

Biography

Dr. Jiang joined the Hawkesbury Institute for the Environment in year 2016 after completing his PhD from Lehigh University, USA. His primary field of research is ecosystem ecology. Dr. Jiang has a broad research interest in plant physiology, ecosystem ecology, global change biology and biogeochemical land surface modelling. He works at the interface between experiments and models, with an overarching aim to understand the physiological mechanisms and feedbacks underpinning ecosystem responses to global change drivers, and to improve predictions of ecosystem dynamics in a changing world.
