Biography

Mamta B Chowdhury have been conducting research into applied economics and finance of international trade and macroeconomic policy management predominantly, including effect of workers' remittances, inward and outward foreign direct investment, foreign aid and trade, trade in labour and education services, Australia's tourism and education sector.  She has also done some studies in the area of teaching methods and their impacts on learning outcome and the importance of quantitative skills in achieving better learning outcomes. Dr Chowdhury has done extensive research in the area of booming sector/s, competitiveness, competitiveness of Australia’s services exports.  She has done some significant publications in the area of worker’s remittances and its effects on economic and financial growth and development, stock markets of developing countries and extensive research in the area of economic and institutional determinants of foreign direct investment.  Dr. Chowdhury has been currently researching and done some recent studies in the area competitiveness of tourism sector and its impact on the small and medium size business sector’s employment and overall performance of Australian economy.
