Katrina has successfully completed 2 large-scale longitudinal mixed methods Australian Research Council Linkage grants. These projects have centred on student engagement and behaviour. She is an authority on program evaluations having successfully completed two external evaluations on the Resilient Families and Brightpath programs funded by Social Ventures Australia. She led an interdisciplinary team evaluating the NSW Department of Education’s Educational Pathways Pilot Program (see: https://education.nsw.gov.au/public-schools/career-and-study-pathways/educational-pathways-pilot-program). This impactful evaluation has led to the scale-up of the program to an additional 7 regions and 163 public schools in NSW. Katrina has a longstanding partnership with the Kokoda Track Foundation (KFT) having successfully completed "Improving PNG teacher training to advance inclusive education for students with disabilities" with KTF and the PNG Department of Education and funded by DFAT. She has partnered with KTF and PNG Sustainable Development Program (SDP) to improve the quality of education in Western Province.
