SELP (Social Engagement and Leadership Program)
SELP is an action packed leadership and social engagement program open to local and international students at Western Sydney University. SELP will enable you to develop your leadership abilities and contribute to the communities you live, work and study in.
It is a free program for Western Sydney University students.
Through SELP, you will have the opportunity to be an innovator or a social entrepreneur, or simply you may be able to gain confidence, meet other students and give yourself an advantage in your future career.
This is an unique and highly valuable opportunity for students of Western Sydney University.
As there are limited places available, only those students who are serious about committing to the program are encouraged to apply.
What happens during SELP?
SELP is a 5 day TedX-style series of workshops happening in April and May 2017. You will have the chance to meet and be inspired by social entrepreneurs doing amazing things in the Western Sydney community as well as have the opportunity to work on a team project solving real-world problems. SELP will conclude with your team doing a video pitch of your idea.

The program will conclude on Wednesday 24th May 2017 where you will celebrate your achievement. You will receive a Certificate of Recognition for your participation in SELP.
Throughout SELP, you will be supported, guided and challenged by your SELP facilitators.
SELP will give you an opportunity to share your ideas, meet a potential future business partner, enhance your employability or change the world!

You will be expected to commit to attending all 5 days of the SELP program. Outside the program hours, you will also be expected to communicate with your team mates on a regular basis and access various other resources made available to you online such as a Facebook group.
