These laboratories specialise in Analytical Chemistry and Molecular Biology. Equipment available to facilitate this work is:High Performance Liquid Chromatography systems - Photodiode array detector (HPLC-PDA)

• Ultra Performance Liquid Chromatography system – Photodiode array detector (UPLC-PDA)
• High Performance Liquid Chromatographs - Tandem mass spectrometry (HPLC-MS/MS) We no longer have this instrument in the lab ( we do however has access to the LC-MS at the medicine building)
• UV spectrophotometers
• Gas Chromatography system - Mass spectrometry/ Flame ionisation detection (GC-MS-FID)
• High Performance Thin Layer Chromatography system (HPTLC)
• Semi-preparative High Performance Liquid Chromatography system- UV/Vis detection
• Real time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR)
• Patch Clamp facility no longer in the lab.
• 96-well plate reader
• Imaging Station
