Position: Virtual Administration Assistant (ideal for Psychology/Dietetic student) - CASUAL

Location: Crows Nest, NSW
Information:  This casual position at Appetite for Change, a private dietetic practice based on the lower north shore in Sydney, requires a motivated, independent and dedicated virtual administration assistant. Working remotely, this position will provide general reception and administrative services via telephone and email in a respectful and efficient manner. This will include initial intake and booking of new and ongoing clients, invoicing and managing client payments and managing communications with agents and clients. Clients have a predominantly eating disorder, disordered eating and mental health focus, often supporting those with eating disorder management plans, chronic disease management plans and individuals funded by the NDIS.
The casual position will be approximately 6-8 hours per week, with the potential to build up to 10 hours per week. Hours can be worked flexibly to accommodate other employment, studies or family commitments, but must have the ability to return patient phone calls, emails and messages within 24 hours between 8.30am and 6pm Monday to Friday. As a contractor, you will need to have your own ABN number, as well as your own laptop and home internet connection, however, a business phone will be provided.
Selection criteria include:
*Ability to work independently and efficiently
*Have a professional, friendly and caring manner
*Computer experience, including email, data management, word processing, with Xero experience desirable
*Customer service experience required, with patient-focused experience desirable

Position: Psychologist (Graduate) - Full time, Permanent

Information: The Canberra Psychology Centre for Children and Families is an established and well-regarded private practice providing a wide range of therapy and assessment services to the Canberra community and surrounding areas.
Within our team, we have a dedicated assessment unit which provides formal assessments for Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADHD, ID and all Specific Learning Disorders. These assessments are undertaken with predominantly with children and adolescents and, to a lesser extent, adults.
We provide formal training, professional development, and supervision in all areas of practice. We also run a formal training program which includes supervision for all assessment work, providing a great opportunity for Psychologists who wish to develop their skills in this area.
How we work:

  • All team members are provided with supervision and support, relevant to their level of experience/preferences.
  • Our team is harmonious and collaborative, ensuring a peaceful work environment. We are a supportive practice requiring our Psychologists to see a maximum of 5 therapy clients per day, or one assessment client per day (with the remainder of the day set aside for analysis and report writing). This arrangement is flexible for early career Psychologists.
  • We have a strong focus on providing evidence-based practice and offer general/ad hoc supervision, regular structured peer supervision and Board approved supervision, particularly for Clinical endorsement.
  • We provide flexible working conditions and create positions to suit individual needs along with high levels of experienced reception support and practice management, enabling Psychologists to focus on their work.

Position: Clinical Psychology Registrar - Full time
Employer:  Headspace
Location: Edmondson Park, Sydney NSW
Information: The applicants can expect their salary (with salary sacrificing included) to be ~$108k.
Susanna Feng will provide their secondary supervision and GPH will pay for their primary supervision sessions.
There will also be a budget allocated to them for CPD.

Research Study: Understanding Helpful and Hindering Experiences During Training: Reflections of Recently Graduated Psychologist’s from a Clinical Psychology Masters Programs in Australia

Australian Catholic University (ACU) researchers are looking for volunteers for a research study investigating the experiences of training in Clinical Psychology in Australia. Psychology programs play a crucial role in training future Clinical Psychologists. Psychology Programs can benefit from hearing about the helpful and hindering experiences of graduates during their training, and this could then enable the voices of recent graduates to be taken into account in the manner in which training programs are revised and delivered for the next generation of psychologists.

To be eligible to participate in this study, you will need to meet the following criteria:

You are able to take part if you completed a Clinical Masters Program in Australia in the past three years (graduating in 2021, 2022 or 2023).

If you agree to participate, you will be asked to complete the following:
